Support the Dripping Springs Community Library on Library Giving Day - April 3rd
Celebrated nationwide, Library Giving Day is dedicated to supporting local libraries and the invaluable resources they provide to communities. This year, your donation is even more crucial as all funds raised will go toward the construction of our new Dripping Springs Community Library!
We are NOT a city or county funded library! Our community library is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity and support of its residents. Together, Dripping Springs will make this vision of a new library a reality.
On April 3rd, please:
- Donate here.
- Shop and dine at local businesses that are generously donating a portion of their proceeds from April 3rd.
See the full list of partners here.
- Spread the word on social media. @DSBeyondBooks #LibraryGivingDay
H-E-B will generously match donations up to $50,000 on Library Giving Day!

We understand that sometimes book pages can be torn or can come unglued from the binding, it happens! If you notice this on a book you are reading, please notify staff when returning your ultra-loved book and just point out the errors/damages to the front desk staff upon the return of the book. No need to be ashamed! It happens to the all of us and some books are just ready for a good repair.
From here, staff will hand it off to our well trained volunteers to tape, glue, and mend, where need be, with our special/specific book fixing materials. Once the item has been repaired, we will be sure to get it right back on the shelf for the next person to love.
Thank you for fighting the temptation to tape and for helping us keep these books on the shelves! |

Teen Reading Buddies Needed this Summer!
The library is now accepting volunteer applications for Teen Reading Buddies. Reading buddies are paired with their little buddy for a 30-minute reading encouragement session. This is not tutoring, but time for the teen to share their love of reading with their 1-3 grade little buddy. The reading buddy program is every Monday in June and July, so we ask that teens can commit to their assigned shifts.
If you are interested in this summer volunteer opportunity, please stop by the library to pick up a volunteer application or go to our website and fill the application out online. If you have any questions, please email our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@dscl.org.

The board of the Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library want to pour out gratitude to all who attended and who helped make our 2024 Pouring Over Books a great success. The turnout was bigger than ever, and the donations soared!
We will be able to donate funds to support library programming as well as add to the Beyond Books, Building Community fund!
Thanks to Prospect House and Solaro wine and the many local businesses that donated services and goodies for the silent auction. Our featured author Mark Pryor was entertaining, and he sold out of books. Jerry Kirk kept us toe tapping. Special appreciation to our board for making this a great afternoon, Brian Hale, Nicole Newlan, Maria Kohout, Arvind Amin, Debbie Milner, Gogi Hale, Natalie Mahany, Pat Foster and Dorrie Flores. We have board openings and welcome inquires at info@fodscl.org. Keep on reading!
