Hello Neighbors,
August was another busy and exciting month at the library. We completed our annual inventory in record time, allowing the library to reopen to the public sooner than anticipated. This important annual process helps keep our collection organized and our records accurate, supporting our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality service to our patrons.
Perhaps the most exciting highlight of the month was our first-ever 'A Book Affair' event. This Hill Country-inspired evening brought our community together for a night of celebration, food, fun, and reflection as we celebrated 40 years of the library. The event also raised critical funds to support the library’s future. We are incredibly grateful to our committee members, storytellers, volunteers, sponsors, donors, vendors, Friends of the Library, and everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. , "A Book Affair" hosted 200 guest, raised more than $98,000 and engaged over 500 new donors! Thank you to our generous community!
September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! If you have a friend, neighbor, or family member who doesn’t have a library card yet, encourage them to sign up and discover all the resources, programs, and opportunities their library has to offer.
Happy Reading!
