February 2023 Letter from our Director!

Greetings!

DSCL is closed today, Wednesday, February 1st, due to inclement weather. Please watch our website or social media for updates.

Please join us as we celebrate Black History Month. Check out our African American Travel Survey Project virtual program presented by Leslie Wolfenden and Daniele Rose Dixon and find out more about the ‘Green Book’. And, you simply must take part in our “You Had Me at Hello” book-dating service to find your perfect match! Finally, tomorrow, starting at 5 a.m. you can check with Punxsutawney Phil to see his prediction about winter and then come to DSCL to stock up on your next reads to be prepared, no matter what comes!

Looking forward to seeing you!

Marcia Atilano, Library Director

Book-Dating Service

Books Available February 1st - February 28th

Slips will be due back by March 15th

Winner will be selected by March 20th

Are you single and ready to mingle? If so, come on down and checkout our new and improved way of finding the perfect book match. “You Had Me at Hello” is like no dating service you have ever seen before. Rather than picking your date by appearance or life story, you will choose your date by their very own pick-up line. No matter what you are looking for, whether it be your soulmate, a good time, or anything in between, we have got the date for you.

If you decide to participate in “You Had Me at Hello” please be sure to fill out a slip letting us know how it all turned out. Did they have you at hello? Or was it a happily-never-after?

Anyone that turns in a slip will be entered to win a Kindle Fire, unless they or a family member have previously won a Kindle from the Library.
