March 2023 Letter from our Director!
|
|
|
Greetings!
We hope you will celebrate Women’s History month with us by participating in our The WASP Story (Women Airforce Service Pilots): The Fly Girls of World War II Zoom program presented by the Bob Bullock History Museum. I also want to remind you that we have added Kanopy to our eOfferings. Adults cardholders have two circulations/month. Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 titles, including award-winning documentaries and acclaimed films, rare and hard-to-find titles, and classic films. Finally, take a look at pronunciator, our new language learning program. It offers 164 languages and includes instruction on ELL and American Sign Language. Be sure to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Spring Break 3-D Pen Creations with Miss Julieta
Saturday, March 18th
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Learn about 3D pens and create a unique beginner project to take home. A 3D pen is the handheld cousin of a 3D printer. You feed strands of hard plastic (called filament) into the pen, and the pen melts the filament and extrudes it out of the tip as a string of gooey plastic. You then create using the pen and gooey stuff.
The pens get quite hot and safety rules must be followed. You must register online for a spot!

We need your help to assure that we have enough supplies for everyone. Registering for the specific time you will be attending, and even canceling registration, if you are unable to attend, would be so helpful! Registration helps us with planning.
