May 2023 Letter from our Director!
|
|
|
Greetings!
May is a busy time for those who have end of school year activities. DSCL staff are busy too and have been working tirelessly on summer programming which is June 1 – July 28. Our summer calendar of events is now available in print when you visit, or as always at www.dscl.org/event-calendar/ There is something for everyone, so make a list of programs you want to attend and be certain to register through the website calendar. Also, this month is FINE FORGIVENESS from the 8th – 27th. All fines will be forgiven and book replacement totals, which include the $5.00 processing fee, will be cut in half! Take advantage during this three-week period. Take care and keep reading and listening!

Join us this month as we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. I love you to the moon and back… To space and back… I love you to infinity and beyond!
Okay, we can all agree that we love our moms. Now let’s show our mothers some love this Mother’s Day season by writing down something we love about them and adding it to the “I Love you because:” board (located at the Library). You can also take a guess at just how many planets are in this jar of hearts (also at the Library). If you guess right, you might be able to win your mom her very own Fire HD8.
May 2nd - May 13th
*If you or a family member have already won a Fire HD8 (or Kindle Fire) from the Library, you will not be eligible to win this prize.

We are excited to see story time attendance growing and have added times to accommodate. Crafts and extra activities are part of the fun. We need your help to assure that we have enough supplies for everyone. Registering for the specific time you will be attending, and even canceling registration, if you are unable to attend, would be so helpful! Registration helps us with planning.
